Microalloyed Steel Institute (MSI) has participated in the development, welding and application of high strength steels for a wide variety of uses including plate for Naval vessels and offshore structures, forgings for use in tendon porches and welded connectors in Tension Leg Platforms, pressure vessel steels used for transportation of compressed natural gas, steels for small diameter ERW and large diameter DSAW line-pipe, including severe sour service. Formable steels used for automotive & truck parts or down hole expandable tubulars have also been developed and applied by the principals of MSI.
